Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate + casual loading

Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking an experienced Gardener to join our client's team in Braidwood on a casual labour hire basis.

This is a hands-on role working across parks, gardens, urban spaces and other Council-maintained areas. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality public spaces and supporting a range of horticultural, landscaping and general outdoor maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• General gardening, horticultural and parks and gardens maintenance
• Lawn mowing, turf care and maintenance
• Weed control and safe chemical use
• Tree maintenance and pruning
• Irrigation and watering system maintenance
• Bushland management and regeneration
• Landscaping and minor construction works
• Litter and refuse collection
• Operating hand tools, power tools, small plant and equipment
• Operating tractors and other plant where required
• Fencing and bollard repairs and installation
• Worksite traffic control and placement of signage
• General outdoor labouring and cleaning duties
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised worksite

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, parks and gardens or landscaping
• A Certificate III in Horticulture or similar qualification is desirable
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to use mobile devices and basic computer systems
• Current NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Current NSW Class C Driver Licence
• Work Zone Traffic Control – Traffic Controller qualification is highly desirable

Desirable:

• MR Driver Licence
• Chainsaw qualifications
• Traffic Control Plan Implementation qualification
• Experience operating tractors, water carts, small plant and horticultural equipment
